Truck to take our luggage on to Portland

Folks starting off for the second day's ride. There were no official mass-starts from the midpoints. People just left on their own.

Yep... you guessed it. The weather moved in during the evening and the morning was wet and drizzly. Bruce blames it on the fact that he had removed his fenders the night before the start of the ride.

After a spin in the drizzle, things started to lighten up and people began pulling off to the side to shed raingear before the start of the ascent to Napavine.

At a rest-stop in Napavine where some people figured out that climbing the hill in their non-breathing Tyvek STP jackets was uncomfortable to say the least.
